Hi, My name is Teri Paradiso. My love for creating healthy recipes
began when I was about 14 years old.
I am the third oldest of six children. My mom worked outside the
home and would ask me or my sister Lorraine to get dinner
started while she was still at work.
Whenever I would get dinner started, my mom would leave
instructions for me to follow. I remember, at that age, feeling really
happy that my mom trusted me with such an adult responsibility.
All the meals my mom had me prepare were always nutritious. I
believe this is where I began to associate food with good health
I was always interested in health and fitness. As I got older, and
had my daughter Chivan, it became even more important for me
to make healthy meals. I would try different recipes but always
changed the recipe to make it even healthier than it would be.
This became a challenge and passion for me and made me
experiment with different ingredients.
While going through two different Yoga Certifications, I studied
Ayurveda (The science of Life). Ayurveda is a 5,000 year old
system of natural healing. I learned about the importance of using
whole foods and combining them for health.
Always researching, I found that many grains are
contaminated with fungus and mycotoxins. That finding,
along with the many reports of individuals having allergic
reactions and adverse affects from grains and/or gluten, has
inspired me to write my book and start this website.
